Coveting is not wanting. Coveting is idolatry. When we believe a person, place, or possession will fulfill us - we are coveting. It may seem like no big deal to covet, but it is sin. From a Roman prison, Paul writes that he has “learned the secret of being content.” We can learn the secret by preaching the gospel to ourselves, adopting an attitude of gratitude, and choosing to be radically generous.
