Mercy is something we all need, yet it’s something we all struggle to give. Who are you withholding mercy from today? At Bethesda, the house of mercy, the merciful Savior healed a paralyzed man who was overlooked for 38 years; he didn’t deserve to be healed. Jesus showed him the greatest need wasn’t new legs, but a new heart. When we humbly come to Jesus, we experience the miracle of mercy. Our mercy to each other comes from God’s mercy to us.

Trust is essential in any relationship. Is it possible to trust Jesus? How can we have faith in seasons where we feel like giving up? A royal official made a long journey to ask Jesus to come and heal his son. Their conversation and Jesus’ second miracle shows us that the true sign we need in order to declare Jesus as Lord is the resurrection. We can trust Jesus along the “twenty mile journeys” in life because He is the risen Savior!

We all face moments in life that we wish we could change. Can anything good come from brokenness? In His first miracle, Jesus demonstrates His transformative power as He rescues a young married couple from a disastrous and shameful wedding. Jesus changed water into wine that day, and on the night before He died, He changed a cup of wine into an endless cup of grace. Jesus delivers the very best to His followers.

Does marriage matter? 2,000 years ago people asked Jesus if they could redefine marriage. That conversation is still happening today. There are three possible approaches to marriage: the casual approach, the contract approach, or the covenant approach. To be covenant-keeping we need to remember that God created marriage for us. Marriage is a display of the gospel: Christ’s covenant to the Church. No matter what your approach has been, everyone is invited to come and know Jesus.

Being able to resist temptation can make or break your marriage. Husbands and wives in strong, devil-kicking marriages resist temptation together. Don’t fight a temptation in the future when you have the ability to eliminate it today! When we know our enemy, know ourselves, and know God we will experience victory in our lives!

Every marriage is centered around something. You are a worshipper; you decide what you will worship. A Christ-centered marriage follows Jesus’ command to love the Lord your God with everything! The greatest way that we can create a Christ-centered marriage is to pray every day with our spouse. If you aren’t married, begin building a Christ-centered life today, to have a future relationship that’s built on Him.

Every person was created on purpose for a purpose. In Jesus, we have been called to “do good things.” The first church made giving, attending, and serving a priority. They saw God “add to their numbers daily.” Trailblazers know that it’s Christ’s love that compels us to live sacrificial lives. We are committed to giving 10% of income, attending services and groups 8 hours a month, and serving 1 hour a week!

Not many people like change. But all of us know when we need to change. The key to changing is focusing on identity, not the outcomes. When God changed Jacob, he gave him a new name! His old identity had to be broken in order for him to experience the blessing of God. Discover that in Jesus, the old is gone, the new has come! He gives us a new identity. As a church, we believe that God is giving us a new identity so that more people in our town will come to know Him!
